A rooftop restaurant in Udaipur with a City Palace view

Ours is one of the tallest rooftops in Haridas Ji Ki Magri. From the top, the whole of Udaipur opens up — the City Palace, the temples and ghats of the old city, Sajjangarh on its hill and the Aravalli ranges beyond.

Day into night

Breakfast in the sun, dinner under the palace lights

Mornings on the roof are bright and breezy, with the hills sharp against the sky. Inside, the glass-walled dining hall is crowned by a hand-painted Mewar-blue ceiling, so the view is yours whatever the weather.

In the evening, the lanterns are lit, the palace glows across the city and our resident singer plays unplugged sets. Guests tell us it is the best part of their stay — and plenty of Udaipur locals come up just for dinner.

Is the rooftop restaurant vegetarian?

No — we serve both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Tell our team about any dietary needs, such as no onion and garlic, when you order.

Is there live music on the rooftop?

Yes — most evenings a live singer performs unplugged sets on the rooftop. Message us on WhatsApp to confirm tonight’s timing.

Can I book a candle-light dinner or celebrate a birthday on the rooftop?

Yes. We set up private candle-light dinners, birthday and anniversary tables with flowers and a cake on request. Please book at least a few hours ahead.

Arrive 30 minutes before sunset. You will see the hills turn gold, then watch the City Palace light up after dark.
